The Criminal Procedure Code is the procedural law that provides the detailed procedure for punishment of offenders under substantive criminal law, and thus enforces the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The code encompasses all the particulars about the procedure to be followed in every investigation, inquiry and trial, for every offence under the Indian Penal Code or any other law.
The various types of matters included under CrPC are; Bailable, Non-bailable offences, commencement of judicial proceedings, Trial, judgement and sentencing etc.
